A Polo Beach Maternity Family Session

During a beautiful summer sunset, this lovely family of three enjoyed a special maternity session as they looked forward to their baby boy arriving at the end of 2024. Little Evia had a blast running through the sand, playing with her dad, splashing in the waves, and finding little treasures on the beach.

Wailea’s Polo Beach is a beautiful beach on the south side of Maui. This beach fronts the Polo Beach Club and the Fairmont Kea Lani. With rocky shores, blue waters, and a tree-lined beach, it’s a lesser-known beautiful location for photos in Maui.

While Polo Beach in Wailea has a lot to offer for photos, there are a few things to consider when planning pictures here.

• This beach is smaller, so it can feel crowded easily

• Fronts two resorts, so it can be more crowded at sunset

• Waves can be rough

One noteworthy feature about this beach is that the Polo Beach Club sits just behind it. The Polo Beach club is tall resort, so it provides a large amount of morning shade which gives flattering even light (and cooler temperatures) while the morning heats up. It is ideal for later morning photo sessions (8-9 am) for a brighter, vibrant feel.
